Common Questions
Explore practical answers about choosing an aircraft, preparing for ownership and working with our dealership.
How do I choose between Basic, Plus, Max Lite and Max?
Start with the model explorer and compare the manufacturer reference figures. Then discuss the exact edition, payload limits, installed equipment and your intended use with our team. Some manufacturer pages differ, so the written specification for your unit matters.
Compare modelsWhat will the complete aircraft purchase cost?
Separate the aircraft, selected options, freight, import duties, broker fees, final delivery, taxes and any training charges. Our ownership planner keeps unknown amounts visible. The dealership confirms inclusions and the final total in your written quote.
Plan ownership costsAre shipping, import charges and taxes included?
Only when your written quote explicitly includes them. Ask which party handles import clearance and which destination charges remain payable. We do not advertise another dealer’s import package or delivery timeline as our own.
Review cost categoriesCan I request a demonstration before purchasing?
Yes. Submit your model, preferred location, date and questions. We will confirm what can be arranged, who operates the aircraft, any applicable conditions and any charges before you commit. A request does not reserve a flight.
Request a demonstrationWhat preparation happens before delivery?
Agree on a training provider and scope, review the aircraft documentation, discuss charging and storage, and confirm the handover plan. Our team confirms the preparation milestones directly with you. A website checklist is not a qualification or approval to fly.
Explore preparationDoes buying an aircraft include a guaranteed training or flight package?
Your quote and purchase agreement specify the included services. Training availability, location, provider, scope and any additional charges require confirmation. We do not promise supervised flight, instructor credentials or a specific training schedule that has not been arranged.
Discuss trainingDo I need a pilot certificate, registration or permission to fly?
The answer depends on the country, aircraft configuration and operation. Our sourced flight requirements guide explains conditional US Part 103 eligibility and questions for other jurisdictions. An eVTOL marketing description alone does not establish legal eligibility.
Read flight requirementsWhere can I apply for financing?
Our financing page displays application links only after aircraft eligibility and provider details have been confirmed. Applications and financial documents go directly to the provider, which decides eligibility, credit approval and terms.
Explore financingHow does my free HangarVector account work?
Every aircraft buyer receives a free HangarVector account. Your purchase details confirm the included plan and duration. Once the dealership confirms your purchase, our team arranges activation and provides your HangarVector account link.
Contact our teamWhat support is available after handover?
Contact our support team about service requests, documentation and battery care. Ask about software updates, replacement parts and maintenance guidance. The manufacturer advertises headquarters support, but response hours, update eligibility, costs and regional service arrangements must be confirmed in your purchase terms; we do not promise automatic upgrades or round the clock dealership support.
Contact supportDo you offer price matching or refundable demonstration deposits?
Any price review, deposit, credit or refund terms must be agreed directly with Yivtol Southeast in writing. We have not adopted a competitor’s price match or deposit policy.
Ask our teamWhat is the YIVTOL S-ZERO?
The S-ZERO is YIVTOL’s single seat, electrically powered vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. Our dealership helps you compare editions, equipment and purchase arrangements. See the aircraft guide for model specifications and aircraft photographs.
Explore the aircraftWho is the S-ZERO intended for?
It is marketed to personal flight enthusiasts and organizations exploring aviation applications. Suitability depends on the pilot, payload, site, exact configuration and local rules. A proposed tourism, training or commercial use needs its own regulatory review; a personal ultralight designation does not authorize those activities.
Explore the editionsDoes the aircraft need a runway?
Vertical takeoff and landing removes the need for a conventional runway. It still requires a suitable operating site, rotor clearance, landowner permission and compliance with airspace and local rules. A small footprint does not make a street, crowded area or urban site suitable.
Review operating requirementsWhat is the airframe made from?
YIVTOL describes a titanium alloy airframe. Confirm the material specification and construction of the exact edition in the manufacturer documentation. This description does not mean that the body shell, every fastener or every component is titanium.
Explore aircraft systemsWhat control options are available?
Manufacturer information describes an onboard joystick and a ground control station. Confirm which equipment and functions are supplied with your edition. Remote control capability is not permission to operate a passenger flight as a drone or to bypass applicable pilot and operating requirements.
Explore the controlsWhat is the difference between GPS and Attitude flight modes?
YIVTOL describes GPS assisted flight and an advanced Attitude mode with reduced position assistance. Confirm the actual stabilization, limitations and failure procedures in the flight manual and training. GPS assistance is not autonomous flight, obstacle avoidance or a substitute for pilot preparation.
Review pilot preparationHow long does charging take and what power supply is needed?
The supplied manufacturer FAQ gives approximate charging examples: one hour at 380 V and 70 A, two hours at 220 V and 30 A, or three hours at 110 V and 15 A. These are reference claims, not a charging guarantee or an electrical installation specification. Confirm the supplied charger, battery capacity, compatible input, connector, phase and circuit requirements before planning an installation. Charge time also depends on starting charge, temperature and battery condition.
Discuss battery and charger optionsHow are the motors and batteries cooled?
YIVTOL describes cooling provisions for the propulsion system and batteries. Obtain the operating temperature limits, monitoring instructions and response procedures for your exact aircraft. Cooling equipment does not establish that overheating or reduced performance cannot occur.
Explore the battery systemWhat certifications or approvals has the S-ZERO obtained?
The manufacturer FAQ refers to a European filing dated June 9, 2026 and aviation documentation in China. Our FAQ does not verify those documents as type certificates or permission to operate a particular unit. Ask for the issuing authority, document number, scope, aircraft configuration and limitations, then confirm their relevance with the authority where you intend to fly. A filing is not automatically an operating approval.
Read country requirementsWhat safety testing does the manufacturer report?
The supplied FAQ describes wind testing and a demonstration involving loss of one motor. Ask for the test reports, configuration, payload, battery state, conditions and acceptance criteria. A demonstration does not establish the limits of every edition or guarantee a safe outcome after a failure.
Explore safety systemsHow is redundancy designed into the aircraft?
YIVTOL describes multiple battery packs, motors and rotors, with backup provisions for control and communications. Request the system architecture and failure procedures for your configuration. Multiple components alone do not prove that every failure is tolerated; shared power, control or structural faults must also be considered.
Watch the safety demonstrationAre a parachute and airbags available?
The manufacturer FAQ describes optional recovery equipment, including a parachute and airbags. Availability, installation, compatibility, weight and deployment limits must be confirmed for the selected edition. An illustrative recovery system in our Studio does not mean the equipment is installed or effective at every altitude.
Review recovery equipmentCan I obtain aviation insurance?
Insurance depends on your country, aircraft, pilot preparation and intended operation. Manufacturer references to coverage in China or Hong Kong do not establish coverage for a US owner. Request a written aviation insurance quotation that identifies the aircraft, permitted uses, exclusions and limits before relying on coverage. We do not currently promise an insurer or automatic approval.
Discuss insurance documentationCan you help with local compliance documentation?
Ask our team to coordinate the available manufacturer specifications, manuals and supporting documents for your location. The relevant aviation authority determines which requirements apply. Purchasing, importing, receiving a document package or completing training does not by itself grant operating permission.
Review classification guidanceIs training needed even if a pilot certificate is not required?
Yes. Prepare with aircraft specific instruction and the manufacturer’s operating procedures before solo operation. The manufacturer calls for professional training. US Part 103 does not itself impose pilot certificate or experience requirements on qualifying vehicles; that exemption does not establish pilot readiness or replace manufacturer, insurer or purchase conditions. Confirm the provider and practical scope with our team.
Plan training and handoverCan training be completed online, on site or at the factory?
The manufacturer FAQ describes remote theory, visiting instruction and factory based training possibilities. These are arrangements to confirm, rather than guaranteed Yivtol Southeast services. Agree on the provider, location, language, practical flying, assessment, travel costs and schedule in writing. Online theory alone should not be represented as completed practical flight preparation.
Discuss training formatsWhat should training cover?
Discuss aircraft familiarization, flight principles, controls, simulator work where available, practical instruction, preflight checks, battery handling, emergency procedures, site assessment and applicable rules. The agreed course must match the aircraft and your experience. Our preparation checklist records milestones; it does not certify flight competence.
Review preparation milestonesDo you arrange international delivery?
Tell us the destination before requesting a quote. Export documents, battery transport, import clearance, taxes and local acceptance need review for that specific shipment. Manufacturer international sales history does not guarantee that Yivtol Southeast can deliver or support operation in every country. Confirm responsibilities in the purchase agreement.
Plan destination costsHow long will delivery take?
Request an estimated schedule for your model, configuration and destination. The manufacturer FAQ mentions roughly one month after order confirmation, but this is not a Yivtol Southeast delivery commitment. Production availability, battery shipping, customs and final handover can affect timing. Your agreement should state the current estimate and how changes are handled.
Request current availabilityWhat is included with an aircraft purchase?
Request an itemized equipment and service list for the exact unit, including batteries, charger, propellers, tools, recovery equipment, training, freight and support. The manufacturer describes initial training and after sales support, but regional arrangements vary. Your Yivtol Southeast quote and agreement determine what is included and any separate charges. Every buyer also receives our free HangarVector account benefit, with its plan and duration confirmed at purchase.
Review purchase scopeWhat altitude should I fly at?
Use the approved operating documentation, site assessment and aircraft specific training to determine appropriate operating heights. The manufacturer FAQ’s low altitude recommendation is not a universal safe altitude or legal permission. Height affects obstacle exposure and the time available to respond to an emergency; recovery equipment has its own limitations.
Review flight requirementsWhat wind and weather conditions are permitted?
Follow the flight manual limits for wind, gusts, temperature, precipitation, visibility and other conditions. Manufacturer reports of wind testing do not establish an allowable operating wind for your unit. Obtain the current manual and training guidance before making a flight decision.
Prepare for flight planningCan I use it for tourism, transport, inspections or emergency work?
Treat each intended use as a separate approval and suitability question. US Part 103 is limited to sport and recreation; it does not authorize commercial transport or inspection work. Manufacturer lists of possible applications are not permission to conduct those operations. Other countries may apply different classifications and requirements.
Check your intended operationWhat maintenance does the aircraft require?
Follow the current manufacturer maintenance instructions and inspection intervals for your exact aircraft. Discuss preflight checks, fasteners, propellers, motors, structure, wiring, batteries and any life limited equipment with the support provider. Portal battery observations and service requests support record keeping; they do not replace required inspections or maintenance release procedures.
Ask about maintenance recordsWhat warranty applies?
The supplied manufacturer FAQ states a 12 month warranty from delivery. Obtain the current written warranty for your unit before purchase, including the responsible provider, battery coverage, exclusions, claim process, labor, shipping and regional service arrangements. This reference does not extend coverage or create a separate dealership warranty.
Request written warranty termsSources and purchase details
